Quote of the week:

Andrew Yang, an entrepreneur and United States Democratic presidential candidate: “Investment in cryptocurrencies and digital assets has far outpaced our regulatory frameworks in the US. We should let investors, companies, and individuals know what the landscape and treatment will be moving forward to support innovation and development. The blockchain has vast potential.”

In case you missed it:

  • Several cryptocurrency exchanges including Binance, ShapeShift and Kraken have announced that they will delist Bitcoin SV as a response to Craig Wright’s behavior. The first one was Binance reporting that Bitcoin SV will be delisted on April 22. Later, Erik Voorhees, CEO of anonymous crypto exchange ShapeShift, said that the exchange stands “with @binance and CZ’s sentiments” and will also delist Bitcoin SV. And then United States crypto exchange Kraken has made its announcement following a community poll with more than 70% voted for the delisting.
  • Binance has launched the Binance Chain mainnet. Binance Coin (BNB) mainnet swap will begin on April 23 and ERC-20 BNB tokens will be converted into Binance Chain BNB (BEP-2 BNB). As stated, after April 23rd, Binance won’t support the withdrawal of ERC20 BNB tokens anymore.
  • Tether has started issuing its US dollar-pegged stablecoin USDT on TRON blockchain. As stated in the announcement, “it enables interoperability with TRON-based protocols and Decentralised Applications (DApps) while allowing users to transact and exchange fiat pegged currencies across the TRON Network.”
